The CPC has issued a Slight Risk for heavy snow.
The Climate Prediction Center has introduced a Slight Risk for Heavy Snow across both the Northern Lower Peninsula and the Upper Peninsula for the period of November 26th through November 30th. This increased risk stems from the potential development of a noteworthy winter storm that may sweep across the state right around the Thanksgiving holiday.
While exact details such as track, intensity, and potential snowfall totals are still coming into focus, early indications point toward a system capable of producing impactful snowfall, especially for northern parts of Michigan. As confidence grows, we’ll have a clearer picture of who’s most likely to see heavier accumulations and when the worst of the storm could arrive.
