Winter strikes back!

Good morning everyone! Here’s your full weather rundown for today:

Lake-effect snow is already firing up across northern Michigan this morning, with both the Northern Lower Peninsula and the Upper Peninsula seeing steady banding. If you’re up that way, expect visibility to drop at times and roads to get slick classic early-winter lake-effect behavior.
Now… remember yesterday’s beautiful warmth? The 60s? That little moment of happiness Mother Nature gave us?
Yeah, she took it back real quick. Winter-like temperatures have returned in full force today, with highs only reaching the 30s and low 40s across much of the state. A sharp drop, and definitely a shock if you got used to the mild stretch.
Southern Michigan will at least get some sunshine to soften the blow, but up north it’s all about that lake-effect machine. Snow showers will continue throughout the day, with the heaviest pockets expected near the traditional snowbelt zones of northern lower Michigan and the eastern U.P.

As for storms? There is no severe weather threat today, nothing to worry about except the cold and the flakes flying up north.
And that wraps up this morning’s forecast! Funny enough, this might be the first time I’ve posted one this early. It’s 8 AM, I’ve got coffee, and Michigan’s already doing Michigan things.

Have an amazing day!
