Your last hot day is here: Holy smokes!
My five-day break is officially over and we’re jumping right back into our regular forecasts!
Thanks for sticking around while I took a little breather. I don’t have a dramatic reason for the break… I was simply lazy. But hey, sometimes you need a reset, and now we’re back in full swing. Let’s get into today’s weather, because it’s actually a pretty interesting one.

A Serious Warm-Up Across Michigan
If you’ve stepped outside today, you already know it feels nothing like mid-November. We’re seeing a major warm surge across the entire state, and for many areas, this could very well be the last truly warm day of the year.
Southern Lower Peninsula: Widespread mid to upper 60s, with some spots pushing the high 60s. That’s a huge jump from just a couple days ago when many of us were stuck in the 30s.
Northern Lower Peninsula: Sitting comfortably in the 50s, which is still well above average for this time of year.
Upper Peninsula: Most areas are landing in the upper 40s to low 50s, which honestly isn’t bad at all for mid-November up there.
This kind of warmth this late in the season is rare, and it’s not sticking around. So if you can, seriously take advantage of it. Even though the sun sets at like 5 PM now (tragic, I know), get outside with your family or friends. Hit a park, go for a walk, toss a football around… do something you’ll miss when we’re all buried under the inevitable December cloud blanket.

Tonight’s Forecast: A Reality Check
As warm as today is, tonight reminds us what month it really is:
Statewide lows: Mainly low 30s, with pockets of 20s—especially inland or in typically colder spots.
Let’s be real: nobody was expecting a tropical November night. The warmth doesn’t last after sunset, especially with how quickly we’re losing daylight now. So if you’re out late, grab a jacket, your immune system will thank you.

Severe Weather Threat? Nope.
Like usual for this time of year:
No severe weather expected today.
Just a nice, calm, unseasonably warm day before we head back toward cooler, more typical fall conditions.

Wrapping Up
That’s today’s forecast! Once again, thank you for being patient while I took a short break. No excuses on my end, I was just lazy. But what matters is that the forecasts are back, and I’m excited to keep bringing you updates as we head deeper into late fall and eventually winter.
Enjoy today’s warmth while we still have it, stay safe, and as always, have an amazing day!
